Welcome to the Madame Backlund Restaurant in the centre of the historic town of Levanger!
Madame Backlund (former Backlund restaurant) is a restaurant rich in tradistions located in the heart of the historic town of Levanger. After a complete reburbishment it now appear as warm, modern and stylish in combination with the intimate and cozy that Backlund has always been proud to present. Our focus is on locally produced food and drink - we welcome you to enjoy a delicious meal with a taste of Levanger.
The restauranten is directly connected to Thon Hotel Backlund, the venerable and only hotel in the city.
Exhibited in the restaurant are many picturesque and historic photos of local Levanger.
We have a diverse menu which includes both delicoius meat and fish and local refreshments/drinks. We tailor menus for groups.
REAL FOOD
Birgitte Backlund was the one who provided food, shelter and heart rooms at the time Backlund Hospits was established in 1839. She was Madame Backlund. We have focused on her values, namely that the food should be real and proper, made with passion in a house full of warmth and soul.
LOCAL RAW MATERIALS
We are located in the heart of Trøndelag and are therefore committed to using the great resources that we have in the region. We hand pick raw materials from manufacturers such as the Vilteksperten from Steinkjer, Gangstad from Inderøy, Trøndersopp from Verdal and many, many more.
