A little extra for the meeting/party?
Should you wish, you can also include a guided tour among the prehistoric memories in the Egge area and dissemination of history both in the County farm and in the open air museum. How about a visit by the cheerful and diligent "The maid in the Fylkemannsgården anno 1919"?
A little history
Fylkemannsgården was built as an office and a residential to the county governor in North-Trøndelag in 1919. Until 1986 the house was the residence of the county governor, when Egge Museum took over the building. In November 2007, the house stood fully restored with new wallpaper and the interior a house of this stature deserves. Outside the house there is a large garden and the view over Steinkjer is outstanding. This must surely be Steinkjer finest banqueting facilities?
